Hidden treasure is the best way to describe going to Arc Reclamation in Hampshire. Visiting their yard means winding through quiet country lanes on the outskirts of Petersfield and you feel miles from anywhere but once you have driven up the tree lined avenue with its staddle stones to their workshops and showroom you find not only one of the largest collection of reclaimed doors in the country, but also fireplaces, flooring, furniture, stained glass and other interesting items.

There is a warm welcome from Justin who owns and runs the business along with free advice and an obvious enthusiasm for all things to do with using reclaim to enhance your home. There are also nice surprises such as a sleigh bed made from church pews and mirrors made from old windows and 18th Century carved timbers.

Their main speciality however is doors, with over 1200 to choose from. Combining this with a complete range of restoration services from making stained glass panels to fitting locks, making frames and even onsite fitting means they have carved a unique niche for themselves in the reclamation market…
